Introduction
LetterLoop is an early-learning app for children who practice letters, numbers, shapes, and colors through tracing activities and games.
This policy explains what the app stores locally on the device, how that information is used, and what choices parents and guardians have.
No Login or Cloud Sync
LetterLoop does not require users to create an account or sign in.
The app is designed to handle learning progress, profile selections, and preferences locally on the device instead of sending them to a remote sync system.
Information We Store Locally
The app may store which preset profile is selected, learning progress, rewards such as stars or badges, and app preferences such as music or sound settings.
This information is kept on the device so the app can continue from where the child left off the next time it is opened.
Child Profiles
LetterLoop offers a small set of preset profile avatars so each child can keep their learning progress separate.
Profiles are selected from built-in options only — no names, nicknames, or other identifying text are ever typed in, entered, or stored by the app.
Learning Progress
The app records which activities have been completed so a child can continue practicing from where they left off.
This progress stays on the device and is used only to support the learning experience inside LetterLoop.
Rewards and Achievements
Stars, badges, and similar rewards are stored with the relevant profile so the app can celebrate progress.
These rewards are for motivation and practice. They are not used for advertising, ranking children, or sharing performance with anyone else.
How We Use Information
We use the locally stored information to show the correct profile, restore progress, keep preferences consistent, and make the app work properly.
We do not use children's learning activity to build advertising profiles.
How Data Is Stored
LetterLoop is intended to keep app data on the device where it was created.
If the device or browser clears local storage, uninstalls the app, or resets app data, saved progress and preferences may be removed.
Data Sharing
Because the app is designed to work locally, we do not intentionally send profile data, learning progress, or rewards to an external sync service.
Serving ads involves Google AdMob as a third-party service. No learning activity, progress, reward, or profile data is shared with AdMob. See the Advertising section below for details.
If that changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before the change goes live.
Advertising (AdMob)
LetterLoop uses Google AdMob to display ads. Ads are configured for child-directed treatment, meaning they are not personalized based on browsing history or behavior, and no advertising identifier is collected for ad targeting. Google AdMob's own privacy practices apply to how ads are served; you can learn more at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
If your child's device or app version does not yet show ads, this section describes how advertising will work once enabled.
Device Permissions
LetterLoop asks only for the permissions needed for the features being used.
If a permission is declined, the related feature may be unavailable while the rest of the app continues to work.
Sound and Haptics
The app may use sounds, celebration animations, and vibration feedback to make learning feel playful.
These features are controlled by the app and the device settings you choose.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information the app stores locally.
No method of storage can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so we do not make absolute security claims.
Data Retention
Locally stored profile, progress, reward, and preference data stays on the device until it is removed by the user or deleted by the device or browser.
If you uninstall the app, clear site data, or reset the device, that local information may be lost.
Children's Privacy
LetterLoop is intended for young children and is designed to be used with a parent or guardian involved.
We aim to keep the information involved in the experience limited to what the learning activities need.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes.
When we do, we will revise the Last updated date at the top of this page.
